Can I resurface my asphalt instead of replacing it?
Usually, yes, if the base underneath is still sound and the damage is on the surface. We assess the sub-grade first and only recommend full replacement when the foundation has actually failed.
Can you pour new asphalt over old asphalt?
Yes. That's what an overlay is. As long as the old asphalt is still bonded to a sound base, we prep the surface, repair soft spots and potholes, mill where needed, and pave a fresh layer right over the top. It's faster and far cheaper than a full tear-out.
