Why cracks matter
An open crack is a channel straight into the base. West Texas rain arrives fast and hard, and once water is under the pavement it softens the material holding everything up. The crack itself is cheap to fix — what it lets in isn't.
How we fill them
Clean the crack out first, because sealant over dirt and grit doesn't bond and pops out within a season. Then a hot-applied rubberized filler that stays flexible through temperature swings instead of cracking back open.
When to do it

Why potholes come back
